Meet Dr. Caroline

Caroline Owen is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board-Certified Neurological Clinical Specialist committed to helping individuals regain independence, mobility, and confidence through personalized, high-quality care. Based in Sacramento, CA, she founded Caroline Owen Physical Therapy to deliver expert, concierge-level rehabilitation directly to clients—at home, in the community, and on their terms.

Dr. Caroline trained at the nationally renowned MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, DC, where she developed a strong foundation in neurologic and orthopedic rehabilitation across the lifespan and continuum of care. Her clinical expertise includes stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, limb loss, and complex orthopedic conditions. She is especially skilled in normalizing walking mechanics in individuals with neurologic impairments and those undergoing prosthetic training, using advanced gait analysis and progressive mobility interventions.

She integrates the latest research and rehabilitation technology into her care, ensuring that each client receives the most effective, evidence-informed support to achieve their goals. Her approach is wholistic and patient-centered—focused on restoring function, confidence, and independence.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Caroline is an experienced rehabilitation director with a passion for improving care quality and developing impactful programs. She is also a dedicated health educator, having presented at allied health graduate programs, hospitals, and community organizations on topics ranging from neurologic rehabilitation to interdisciplinary care.

Dr. Caroline founded this practice to bridge the gap between insurance-covered services and the personalized, expert-level care that patients deserve. Her mission is to deliver thoughtful, one-on-one rehabilitation that empowers individuals to live fully.

When she’s not working with clients, Dr. Caroline enjoys being active outdoors, volunteering with adaptive sport organizations, and working in her garden.
